Excellence Rewarded – Anthony’s Travel are Small Coach Operator of the year 2014…

Anthony’s Travel is celebrating success at the coach and bus industry’s premier awards event after being named Small Coach Operator of the year 2014.

This coveted accolade was presented at the routeONE Awards held on 5 November at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel. It is an award that recognises excellence and confirms that Anthony’s Travel  is among the best in the country.

Attended by 790 industry guests, the routeONE Awards is now in its 10th year and is firmly established as the number one event in the coach and bus industry calendar.

“Excellence is the by-word and the aim, as always, is to identify and reward the best operators and people in the coach, bus and minibus sectors” said Awards Chairman Mike Morgan.

Each year the Awards has been a sell-out event weeks before, and this year was no exception.

After collecting the Route One Excellence Awards Small Coach Operator of The Year trophy from celebrities Tim Vine and Steph McGovern, Richard Bamber Partner of Anthony’s Travel  said:

“We are overwhelmed that we have been considered worthy of such an honour, when My father Tony founded the business in 1985 my mother Anne had to donate her kitchen which also doubled up as our headquarters and Drivers room! Over the past 29 years a lot has changed but our strong family and community based ethos has remained our core value. We are really proud to have a great team at Anthony’s ,each person has played a vital part over the years, some sadly no longer with us but remain in our hearts, without everyone’s input and the support of my parents and wife Dawn none of this would be possible”

Commending Anthony’s Travel , the routeONE Awards judging panel of five highly experienced industry experts said: “It’s a bold move when an Operator shouts loud about being ‘Simply the Best‘ yet despite extremely strong competition in this category Anthony’s Travel convinced the judges that by daring to be different in the way it relates to its local community and through constant endeavour to provide the very best service it is indeed ‘Simply the Best‘.“
