HALTON BUSINESS AWARDS – Winner!

Anthony’s Travel are delighted to be the winner of the 2019 Halton Foundation Award for Responsible Business at the Halton Business Awards held on Friday 15th November 2019 at the Halton Stadium, Widnes.

To date this was biggest Halton Business Awards to date with a record number of companies entered and over 400 people attending the ceremony and the judges had their work cut out as the quality and variety of finalists in all categories made it a very difficult task to select a worthy.

The judging panel commented:

“Anthony’s Travel’s passion for Halton is unrivalled. With a wealth of experience, they truly care and don’t pay lip service when it comes to supporting Halton Borough. Their community initiatives are wide and varied but are all have grass roots so you can see the real difference their help and assistance makes to the community”

Richard Bamber, Managing Partner of Anthony’s Travel commented

“we were delighted to receive this award, for numerous factors the start of 2019 was very eventful for Anthony’s and quite stressful , despite this we never lost sight of our family values and ethos , we are really proud to be from Halton and whilst we are only really a small business we have shown that you can make a big difference and value our community partnerships, as local residents we have a responsibility to the people of Halton and if we can help to build a better Borough we are always happy to assist as and when we can”

Whilst this is an award for Anthony’s Travel, we would like to dedicate this award to Dawn Bamber who has been the glue that has held everything together in a very busy year.

When asked for comment Jan Gray of Halton Haven said:

Anthonys Travel has supported Halton Haven Hospice for many years now and is always accommodating our patient and carer group outings. Seaside trips & pub meals allowing them time out to have fun! Staff are always very supportive to the group and staff. Halton Haven is very grateful for all their support we receive.

Rob Little from Victoria Music added:

Victoria Music are proud to partner such a unique business, it is rare to find such community spirit in any business these days but Anthony’s Travel goes that extra distant to ensure the community it represents benefits from its presence. A fine family firm respected by all who have had the privilege to associate with them.

Darren O’ Sullivan head coach of Runcorn ABC also said:

“Anthony’s travel are keen to help the kids at the club which is great to see. Also it’s great to have a local company supporting us as we promote our anti knife crime message to kids in the town. Thank you guys!”

John Stankevitch, United Giving / Cathie Stankevitch Foundation added:

“Anthony’s Travel is a family business that places community at its core. The staff go above and beyond to support the people of Halton and have a long history of making a real difference. Sometimes it’s difficult to measure how much impact a local business has on the local community but in the case of Richard Bamber and his amazing team, the impact is demonstrated every day. As founder of the Cathie Stankevitch Foundation and also coach of Junior Rugby League team West Bank Bears U13s, I know first hand how much Anthony’s Travel are thrilled at being able to help people and with that help, opportunities are created for Charities, Community Sports Clubs and community members, opportunities that would not have been realised without that support.”
